Overview
This $180-million expansion of the existing Ararat Prison increased capacity for an additional 358 medium security male beds. The expansion also included the construction of a new medical facility, visitor centre, recreation centre and education and industrial faculties.
The project was completed under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) by Aegis Consortium, which was comprised of Multiplex, The Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Bendigo Bank and Adelaide Bank.

BSCA were engaged by the Builder and embedded with the Security Services subcontractor’s team. The role included Client liaison to clarify their functional requirements, conducting site inspections to review progress and quality, as well as, providing management during commissioning.
