Overview
Borallon Correctional Centre was de-commissioned in 2012 following the opening of Southern Queensland Correctional Centre. Due to rising prison populations, the Queensland Government decided to re-commission the Centre.
The Details
The re-commissioning of Borallon Training and Correctional Centre was broken in to four stages:
Stage 1 – Existing facility re-commissioning
Stage 2 – Security Upgrade
Stage 3 – Detention Unit
Stage 4 – Harm minimisation
BSCA were engaged by QBuild, Department of Housing and Public Works, for all four stages of the project to provide Services Management.
